About Wijet
Who runs wijet.com, what we cover, how we check facts and how we make money. An independent US publication, not the former Wijet airline.

What Wijet is
Wijet is an independent US publication about private aviation and luxury travel. We write about what a private jet really costs, what it takes to charter one, which aircraft fit which trips, and how to pay less for the same experience.
Our angle is the real price. Most of the web gives you a brochure number or no number at all. We look for the figure behind it, say where it came from and tell you when it dates. We do not sell flights, we do not book trips and we are not a broker.
The name
The wijet.com domain once belonged to Wijet, a French taxi-jet company whose French company was placed in judicial liquidation by a Paris court on December 16, 2019 and stopped taking bookings, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons. You can read what happened to it on our French page. We have no connection to the former company, its staff, its aircraft or its customers.
If you are looking for an old Wijet booking, a credit note or a refund, we cannot help with that. The French page explains where to turn.
What we cover
Six sections make up the site:
- Private jet charter: what charter costs, how to compare companies, and how to avoid overpaying.
- Private jets: the aircraft themselves, from very light jets to long-range flagships.
- Celebrity private jets: who flies what, based on public registry records and named reporting.
- Luxury hotels: resorts and lodges worth the trip.
- Cruises and yachts: expedition cruises, yacht charter and what they cost.
- Travel: business class, trains and the rest of the premium end of getting around.
How we check what we publish
- Prices come with a source and a date. If we cannot name the source, we leave the number out.
- When we say who owns a particular aircraft, we rely on the FAA aircraft registry or on reporting from a named outlet. A rumor is never presented as a fact.
- When we cannot verify something, we write “not confirmed” instead of guessing.
- Pages are reviewed and updated as prices, registrations and schedules change, and each one shows its last update date. The full rules are on our editorial policy page.
How we make money
The site is paid for by display advertising and by affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and buy or request a quote, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Every such link is disclosed, and the details are on our affiliate disclosure page.
Partners never pay for a verdict. A company cannot buy a better ranking, a kinder review or a higher place in a list.
