Does Patrick Mahomes have a private jet? Not one registered to him. Reporting links the Chiefs quarterback to Airshare, a fractional and jet card operator based in Lenexa, Kansas, which means he flies on the operator’s aircraft rather than his own.
This page explains that distinction, why his jet has no tail number to look up, and what fractional shares and jet cards cost compared with chartering.
The short answer
No aircraft is registered to Mahomes. AeroCorner reports he flies through Airshare, a fractional operator in Lenexa, Kansas, and trade press has covered the partnership since 2018. The FAA registry search for his name returned zero aircraft on 06/11/2026.
Airshare and fractional flying in plain terms
AeroCorner’s October 2026 NFL roundup says Mahomes “does not own a private jet, and no aircraft is registered in his name.” It describes Airshare as a fractional and jet card operator, and says the relationship began before his first season as the Chiefs’ starter in 2018.
AIN reported on June 21, 2018 that Executive AirShare, the operator’s earlier name, had signed a multiyear partnership with Mahomes that let his family fly from Tyler, Texas, to Kansas City for his home games. Private Jet Card Comparisons reported on June 27, 2023 that Airshare announced a “multi-year extension of its marketing partnership” with him. We did not find a source confirming the extension’s end date.
What fractional means
In a fractional program you buy a share of a specific aircraft, or a block of hours on a fleet, and the operator handles crews, maintenance and scheduling. You do not appear in the registry as the owner of the aircraft you fly. Our NetJets cost guide covers the best-known fractional program, and jet card cost covers the prepaid-hours alternative.
Why it looks like ownership
AeroCorner makes the point that a jet arriving for a star carries the operator’s registration, not the player’s. That is why photos of an operator-fleet plane get reported as a celebrity’s own jet.
Why the tail number question has no answer
Searches for a Mahomes jet tail number are common, and the honest answer is that there is none to give. A fractional or card customer may fly a different aircraft from one trip to the next, so no single registration belongs to him.
Any page that gives a specific N-number and calls it his jet has either found a one-off sighting of a fleet aircraft or made the number up. The same goes for lists of “his” jets that name a Gulfstream or a Global with no registration and no source.
What a fractional share or card costs vs charter
Fractional shares need a large upfront purchase plus monthly management fees and hourly rates. Jet cards need a deposit and lock a rate. Charter has no commitment and a per-trip price. Which is cheapest depends almost entirely on how many hours you fly a year.
We keep the current figures, fee lists and worked examples in our private jet charter cost guide and the two pages linked above, rather than repeat numbers here.

How we checked
On 06/11/2026 we searched the FAA registry by owner name for MAHOMES and got no results. We read AeroCorner’s October 2026 NFL roundup, AIN’s June 2018 report on the original deal and Private Jet Card Comparisons’ June 2023 report on the extension.
