Does Mac Hammond have a private jet? The FAA registry shows a Dassault Falcon 50, registration N7LW, owned of record by Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, the church Hammond founded. The aircraft is registered to the church, not to him personally.

The short answer

Yes, in the sense that matters for the record: a Falcon 50, N7LW, is registered to Living Word Christian Center, the Minnesota church Mac Hammond founded. The FAA record names the church as owner, not Hammond, so we describe it as the church’s aircraft.

Below we read the record line by line, explain what a Falcon 50 is, and cover the cost of flying one. We also separate this church from another congregation with a similar name that owns a different jet.

Does Mac Hammond Have a Private Jet?

Mac Hammond and his wife Lynne founded Living Word Christian Center on November 12, 1980, with 12 people in a hotel meeting room in Plymouth, Minnesota, according to the U.S. House Chaplain’s biography from his 2005 guest-chaplain visit. Carleton College’s Religions in Minnesota exhibit describes the church, now in Brooklyn Park, as led by Senior Pastors Mac and Lynne Hammond. The same House biography describes him as a former Air Force pilot.

On November 6, 2026, we searched the FAA registry for the N-number N7LW. The record shows a church, not a person, as the owner. That distinction matters. Church-owned aircraft are used by church leadership, but the registry does not say who flies on any given trip, and we did not find a source describing how this aircraft is used.

Reading the FAA Record

The registry entry for N7LW lists these details:

FieldWhat the record shows
ManufacturerDassault-Breguet
ModelFalcon 50
Serial number148
StatusValid
Registered ownerLiving Word Christian Center
Owner addressBrooklyn Park, Minnesota
Registration typeCorporation
Certificate issue dateMarch 11, 2020
ExpirationMarch 31, 2030
Year of manufactureBlank on the record

The certificate date of 2020 is when the current registration was issued, not the year the aircraft was built. The manufacture year field is empty on the record, so we cannot say how old this particular airframe is.

What the owner field does and does not tell you

A corporation listed as owner means the church holds the registration. It does not say who paid for the aircraft, how it is financed or how often it flies. Those are questions the registry does not answer, and we have not seen a named source that does.

The Falcon 50: An Older Trijet

The Falcon 50 is a Dassault business jet with three engines, a layout that sets it apart from most twin-engine jets. For comparison with similar-size jets still sold or traded today, see best midsize private jets.

Age and safety are separate questions from engine count. We do not have an accident rate specific to the Falcon 50 from a source we opened, so we leave it out. If you want the broader picture of how business jets compare on safety, read our guide to the safest private jets in the world.

Why age matters for the cost

The FAA record for N7LW leaves the manufacture year blank, so we cannot date this airframe. In general, an older jet costs less to buy than a new one, and the maintenance and parts bill carries more of the risk over time.

What a Falcon 50 Costs to Run or Charter

We do not quote a purchase price for N7LW or for the model, because we have not confirmed a current figure from a source we opened.

Owning any business jet adds fixed costs such as crew, hangar, insurance and maintenance on top of the purchase. Our cost of owning a private jet guide walks through those line items. If you only need a trip, chartering a comparable midsize or large jet costs a fraction of owning one. See private jet charter cost for what drives the hourly rate.

Same Name, Different Church: The Illinois G-IV

Do not confuse this church with Living Word Christian Center in Forest Park, Illinois, which is led by Bill Winston. FAA records show a Gulfstream G-IV, registration N316VB, built in 1999 per the record, with Living Word Christian Center of Forest Park, Illinois as the registered owner. It is a different congregation, a different city and a different aircraft from the Falcon 50 above.

The two churches share a name and a ministry style, and search results mix them up. If you are looking for the Illinois jet, read our page on Bill Winston’s private jet. For another well-known ministry aircraft story, see Kenneth Copeland’s private jet.

How We Checked

We searched the FAA aircraft registry by N-number for N7LW on November 6, 2026, and recorded the manufacturer, model, serial number, status, owner, address and dates shown. We also searched the registry by owner name for “LIVING WORD CHRISTIAN”, which returned two aircraft: N7LW in Minnesota and N316VB in Illinois. A search for the surname “HAMMOND” alone returned 80 results for unrelated owners, so it told us nothing about him.

Registry data is updated each federal working day, so a later registration change would not appear here. For other public figures, see our celebrity private jets hub.
