Does Lady Gaga have a private jet? We found no aircraft registered to her, and no reliable source for the popular claim that she owns a Boeing 747. That does not prove she has never owned one, but it does mean the claim has nothing behind it that we could find.
This page covers what the FAA registry shows, where the 747 idea probably comes from, how big pop tours actually move people, and what it costs to charter a large jet if you want to fly the way a headliner does.
The short answer
No aircraft is registered to Lady Gaga in the FAA database under her legal name, and we could not find any outlet confirming a Boeing 747 or any other jet she owns. A star can still fly on chartered or borrowed aircraft, or hold one through a company, so this is “not confirmed”, not “never”.
Does Lady Gaga have a private jet?
Her legal name is Stefani Germanotta. On November 6, 2026 we searched the FAA aircraft registry for the owner names “Germanotta” and “Germanotta Stefani”. Both searches returned no aircraft.
That result needs a caveat. Many high-profile owners register through LLCs or trusts, which show up under the company name, not the person. A search by personal name cannot see those. So the accurate statement is: we found no aircraft registered to her, and owners usually register through LLCs and trusts, so this does not prove she has never owned one.
There is some reporting that points the other way on ownership. ARY News, in a December 5, 2025 article, reported that she arrived in Melbourne, Australia, ahead of a show at Marvel Stadium aboard a jet owned by tech entrepreneur and climate advocate Mike Cannon-Brookes, which the outlet described as a $75 million Bombardier 7500. If that is accurate, it is an example of a star flying on someone else’s aircraft, not on her own. We have not verified the tail number or the ownership independently.
Does Lady Gaga own a 747? Where the claim comes from
We could not find a source for the 747 claim. Searching for the origin turned up no article, interview or filing in which she, her team, or a named outlet says she owns a Boeing 747. Wide-body jumbo jets are expensive to buy and costly to run, and a private owner of one is rare enough that it would normally be well documented.
The idea probably spreads for a simple reason: a 747 is the most recognizable airliner in the world, and the phrase “private 747” has been attached to several celebrities over the years. When a claim like that circulates without a registration, a named purchase or an interview behind it, we do not repeat it.
Our position is the narrow one: no source found.
Why a 747 is an unusual choice for a private owner
A jumbo jet carries far more seats and burns far more fuel than any business jet. Ownership of an aircraft of that class by an individual is mostly seen with governments, royal families and a handful of very large businesses. For the largest aircraft that are used privately, see our guide to the biggest private jets in the world.
How big pop tours move
A headline tour is a logistics operation. Crew, dancers, musicians, wardrobe, lighting and staging all have to travel between cities on a tight schedule. In general, that cargo and crew move by chartered airliners, trucks and freight, while the headliner may travel separately, by private jet, charter or scheduled flight, depending on the schedule.
That split is the reason a “jet” and a “tour plane” are not the same thing in the press. A chartered airliner carrying a touring party is booked for the tour and is not owned by the artist. A private jet used by the artist is a separate decision. When headlines say a star “has” a plane, it is worth asking which of these it is.
Other artists have been covered on the same terms. See our pages on Taylor Swift’s private jet and Rihanna’s private jet for how the record looks in those cases.
What chartering a large jet costs
If you want to fly the way a touring artist does, you do not need to own anything. Large business jets are available to charter on a per-flight basis, with pricing by the flight hour plus positioning and fees. We do not quote hourly numbers on this page because they vary a lot by aircraft and route; our private jet charter cost guide explains how a quote is built and what moves the total.

How we checked
On November 6, 2026 we searched the FAA aircraft registry by owner name for “Germanotta” and “Germanotta Stefani”, her legal name, and found no aircraft. We then searched for any named outlet reporting that she owns a Boeing 747 or another jet, and found none. We read ARY News’ December 2025 report on her Melbourne arrival. An LLC or trust would not appear in a personal-name search, which is why we say “not confirmed” and not “she has no jet”. Lists online that assign her a 757, a Falcon 7X, a G650 or a Global cite no source, so we do not repeat them.
