Air Charter Advisors, 2026 market data estimate

The Gulfstream G800 price is reported between $71.5 million and $76.5 million for a new aircraft. Air Charter Advisors cites a launch price of $71.5 million, and Aviation Week gave a BCA-equipped retail price of $76.5 million in May 2025. For that, Gulfstream lists the longest range in its fleet: 8,200 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 (gulfstream.com, 2026).

Gulfstream does not publish a price for the G800, so every dollar figure below is a reported one, attributed and dated. Treat it as a working range, not a quote. You will also see what the money buys, how the G800 compares with the G700 and G650, and what it costs to fly. For the wider market, start with how much a private jet costs.

Gulfstream G800 Price

Reported List Price

Three numbers circulate, and they measure slightly different things. Air Charter Advisors lists an MSRP of $71.5 million, saying deliveries were expected in 2023 at that price tag (2026). Aviation Week lists $76.5 million as the retail price of an aircraft equipped with Business & Commercial Aviation (BCA) standard equipment, in its May 2025 report on the FAA and EASA approvals. Corporate Jet Investor wrote “about $73.5m” in August 2025, when the first G800 was delivered, without naming who set that figure.

Gulfstream’s own G800 page lists no price (gulfstream.com, 2026). A fair reading is $71.5 million as the entry point and $76.5 million as a typical equipped figure, before the interior you actually specify.

Web listings and videos quote anything from $70 million to $82 million. Those are estimates, not list prices.

Used Market Today

There is no used market to speak of. The G800 was certified by the FAA and EASA in April 2025 (Aviation Week, May 2025), and Corporate Jet Investor reported the first customer delivery on August 30, 2025. Aviation International News reported in April 2026 that, with “low to nonexistent available inventory, pricing for preowned Gulfstreams has firmed,” and quoted Hagerty Jet Group: “Don’t expect any serious discounts in the business jet markets just yet.”

The same AIN report, citing Hagerty, said no preowned G700s were available. Any “used G800 price” you see online is therefore a broker’s asking figure or a restatement of the new price.

For a buyer that leaves two routes: a factory delivery slot, or an early owner willing to sell through a broker. Aviation International News reported in October 2025 that Jefferies forecast 20 G800 deliveries in 2026 and that Gulfstream’s backlog covered more than two years of production.

What the Price Buys

The G800 is the long-range specialist of the Gulfstream line. It uses the same fuselage cross-section as the G700 but a shorter cabin, which is where the extra range comes from.

Range and Speed

Gulfstream’s 8,200 nautical miles assumes Mach 0.85, eight passengers, four crew and NBAA IFR reserves. At Mach 0.90 the figure falls to 7,000 nautical miles. Aviation Week reported in May 2025 that the certified range was 200 nautical miles above the original expectation, and that maximum operating speed rose from Mach 0.925 to Mach 0.935. Real range moves with winds, routing and load. If distance decides the purchase, compare it on our longest range private jets page.

Cabin and Layout

The cabin is 46 ft 10 in long, 8 ft 2 in wide and 6 ft 3 in high, per Gulfstream. Aviation Week noted in May 2025 that it can be set up with up to four living areas, or three living areas plus a dedicated crew compartment. The price covers the aircraft; the layout, finishes and entertainment are specified with the buyer.

Takeoff and Landing

Aviation Week reported balanced field length takeoff at 5,812 ft and landing distance at 3,105 ft in May 2025, both shorter than first announced, per Gulfstream. Shorter runway needs widen the airports you can use.

G800 vs G700 vs G650

The G800 sits between the G650, which it replaces, and the larger G700. Aviation Week reported in May 2025 that Gulfstream planned to deliver the last G650 in the second quarter of 2025. The G700 has its own page: see the Gulfstream G700 price, and the Gulfstream G650 price for the aircraft it replaces.

The G650 column uses Air Charter Advisors because Gulfstream’s own page now redirects to the G800. Its $66.6 million is the page’s MSRP for the base G650 with no year given, so read it as an original-era price, not a current one. The G700 figure of $75 million is the MSRP Air Charter Advisors gives for its 2019 introduction.

Verdict: the G800 gives up about 10 ft of cabin against the G700 and one living area, and gains 450 nautical miles of range. Choose the G700 for space and the G800 for reach. Corporate Jet Investor quoted broker Stone in August 2025 asking “if there are enough distinct buyer classes” between the two. The Jefferies figures AIN reported in October 2025 suggest where demand comes from: Gulfstream’s CEO said “most of the G800 orders are from existing G650/650ER customers who are looking to upgrade.” Bombardier’s rival is covered in our Global 8000 price guide.

Running and Charter Cost

Charter per Hour

Most readers will fly a G800 as a charter passenger, not as an owner. Air Charter Advisors estimates $15,000 to $18,500 an hour, based on 2026 market data. The estimate excludes taxes, de-icing, landing and handling fees, international surcharges, overnight crew expenses and premium catering, and ferry fees and fuel prices move the final bill. It is broker marketing, not a quote: route, date and operator change the price. The G800 is also new, so charter supply is thin.

Owning a G800

No manufacturer or trade publication has yet published an annual operating budget for the G800. Fixed costs such as crew, hangar, insurance and maintenance programs arrive whether the jet flies or not, and depreciation and financing sit on top. Our breakdown of how those add up is in the cost of owning a private jet. If you are weighing the purchase, a financing and acquisition specialist can price a specific configuration.

Questions Buyers Ask

What is the range of the Gulfstream G800?
The Gulfstream G800 has a maximum range of 8,200 nautical miles at Mach 0.85, according to Gulfstream, with eight passengers, four crew and NBAA IFR reserves. At a faster Mach 0.90 cruise, Gulfstream lists 7,000 nautical miles. Real range varies with winds, routing and payload.
How much is a used Gulfstream G800?
There is no reliable used price yet. Aviation International News reported in April 2026, citing Hagerty Jet Group, that low to nonexistent inventory has firmed preowned Gulfstream pricing. The first G800 was delivered in August 2025, so asking prices are set by brokers case by case.
How much does it cost to charter a Gulfstream G800?
Air Charter Advisors estimates $15,000 to $18,500 an hour for a G800, based on 2026 market data. That excludes taxes, landing and handling fees, de-icing and positioning flights, so a real trip costs more and varies by operator and route.
What is the difference between the G800 and G700?
The G800 trades cabin length for range. Gulfstream lists the G800 at 46 ft 10 in with 8,200 nautical miles and up to four living areas, and the G700 at 56 ft 11 in with 7,750 nautical miles and up to five. Width, height and top speed are the same.
How many passengers does a G800 seat?
A G800 seats up to 19 passengers and sleeps up to 10, according to Gulfstream. Owners who want a bedroom, lounge and dining area usually choose fewer seats to make room for them. The final layout is agreed with the buyer.
