The Bombardier Global 8000 price is reported at about $78 million. Fox Business gave that figure at the launch in May 2022, and New Atlas repeated it as an estimated base price when the jet entered service in December 2025. A figure of $85 million for a typically equipped aircraft appears in 2026 sources, so plan on a range rather than one number.

The Global 8000 is the fastest civil jet in service, with a top speed of Mach 0.95 and a range of 8,000 nautical miles, per Bombardier. Below you get the price and its sources, the specs, the four-zone cabin, what it costs to fly and how it stacks up against the Gulfstream G800. For the whole Bombardier line, see the Bombardier private jet price list.

Bombardier Global 8000 Price

Bombardier does not publish a price for this aircraft. Its Global 8000 page lists specifications and no cost, so every figure below is a reported one, from trade press and from third-party sites that say where they got it.

Reported List Price

Three numbers circulate, and they come from different years.

  • $78 million: Fox Business reported this price on May 24, 2022, the day after Bombardier announced the jet at EBACE. New Atlas, writing on December 13, 2025 about the entry into service, still gave an estimated base price of US$78 million.
  • $81 million: Business Jet Traveler’s November 2023 review of the aircraft cites $81 million as the 2022 figure.
  • $85 million: Flycraft, a listing and cost site, said in October 2026 that a typically equipped new Global 8000 costs $85 million, citing Business & Commercial Aviation’s 2026 Purchase Planning Handbook. That is Flycraft’s reading of the handbook, so treat it as attributed.

The pattern is consistent with a base price near $78 million that grows once you add the options and cabin choices a real buyer specifies. If you are budgeting, work from $78 million for the base aircraft and expect the completed price to land higher.

Global 7500 Upgrade Path

If you already own a Global 7500, you may not need a new jet to get the Global 8000’s performance. Aviation International News reported on August 26, 2025 that Bombardier is offering a service bulletin for Global 7500 owners, and that GE described the engine changes as “software alterations rather than ‘turbo-machinery’ changes.” Business Jet Traveler’s review says the modification and calibration take about a week.

Neither source states what the upgrade costs, so we do not put a number on it. Ask Bombardier for a current quote.

Used Prices and Availability

The jet entered service in December 2025, so there is no meaningful pre-owned market yet. Aviation Week reported that Bombardier delivered the first aircraft on December 8, 2025. NetJets ordered the type as launch customer on November 29, 2022, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons. Any used Global 8000 you find online is an early resale or a Global 7500 listed under a similar name, so ask for the serial number and the service bulletin status before you take a price seriously.

For how the Global 8000 fits into the broader price ladder, our guide to how much a private jet costs puts it next to every other class.

Global 8000 Specs

Bombardier’s own page is the reference for every line below. It describes the range as theoretical, calculated with NBAA IFR reserves, ISA conditions, Mach 0.85, eight passengers and four crew.

Speed: Mach 0.94 or Mach 0.95

You will see both numbers. Early coverage, including Fox Business in 2022 and Business Jet Traveler in 2023, gave Mach 0.94. Aviation Pros, carrying Bombardier’s December 2025 release, says the jet flew at Mach 0.94 on its inaugural flight in May 2025 and now has a top speed of Mach 0.95. Bombardier’s page lists Mach 0.95, so we use that. For the rest of the field, see the fastest private jets in the world.

Range: 8,000 Nautical Miles

At 8,000 nautical miles, the Global 8000 is among the longest-range business jets you can buy. Bombardier’s figure is a best case at Mach 0.85; fly faster and you give some of it back. Our longest range private jets page compares it with the other jets at this end of the market.

The Global 8000 Cabin

The cabin is where the money goes. It is 54 ft 5 in long, 8 ft wide and 6 ft 2 in high, per Bombardier, and holds up to 19 passengers.

Four Living Spaces

Bombardier markets four living spaces. Its floor plan names the entrance, club suite, conference suite, entertainment suite, principal suite and en suite. In detail:

  • Club suite: four Nuage seats with a zero-gravity position.
  • Conference suite: a six-seat meeting and dining space.
  • Entertainment suite: a three-place berthable Nuage divan.
  • Principal suite: a Nuage seat with a zero-gravity position plus a full-size bed.
  • Entrance: a private crew suite with a Nuage seat.

Each of the club, conference, entertainment and principal suites has six large windows, per Bombardier. Bombardier calls Nuage the first new seat architecture in 30 years, which is its claim, not a measured one.

Does the Global 8000 Have a Shower?

Yes, as an option. Bombardier lists an optional stand-up shower in the en suite lavatory. Because it is optional, check it in the floor plan before you sign: not every Global 8000 will have one. For other cabins built around sleeping and washing, see our guide to private jets with beds.

Air, Light and Cabin Altitude

Bombardier states a cabin altitude of 2,691 ft at 41,000 ft, which it describes as the lowest of any production business jet. The Pũr Air system uses a HEPA filter rated by Bombardier at up to 99.99% efficiency for 0.3-micron particles, plus an activated carbon filter. Soleil lighting adjusts cabin light to circadian rhythms. These are all manufacturer claims, so weigh them as such.

Global 8000 Cost per Hour

Bombardier publishes no operating cost, and the numbers that circulate are broker and listing-site estimates. Read them as ranges.

Charter Rate

Flycraft’s Global 8000 page, dated October 10, 2026, puts charter at about $18,000 to $19,000 per flight hour, based on published hourly rates for the ultra-long-range class. That is a price for a trip, not an operating cost, and it excludes taxes, fees and positioning. If you want a quote for a real route, start with a broker.

Owner Operating Cost

For an owner, Flycraft declines to publish a Global 8000 figure because no fuel burn has been cited. As a guide it gives the median ultra-long-range jet in its data at about $1,713,437 a year in fixed costs and $8,865 per flight hour in variable cost, and names the Global 7500 as the closest guide to running costs. That is a class median, not a Global 8000 number.

Global 8000 vs Gulfstream G800

The Gulfstream G800 is the nearest rival on range. Bombardier’s figures come from its product page and Gulfstream’s from its own page.

Verdict: the G800 flies 200 nautical miles farther at Mach 0.85, and its cabin is a little wider and taller. The Global 8000 is faster, has a cabin more than 7 ft longer and a lower cabin altitude. Choose the Gulfstream for the extra reach and the Bombardier for speed and space. The full cost side is on our Gulfstream G800 price page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Global 8000 cost per hour?
Charter on a Global 8000 runs about $18,000 to $19,000 per flight hour, per Flycraft in October 2026. Owner operating cost has no published Global 8000 figure; Flycraft's ultra-long-range class median is about $8,865 per flight hour in variable cost, plus fixed costs of about $1.7 million a year.
Does a Global 8000 have a shower?
Yes, as an option. Bombardier lists an optional stand-up shower in the en suite lavatory of the Global 8000. Because it is optional, check any specific aircraft's floor plan before you rely on it.
What is the range of the Global 8000?
Bombardier lists the Global 8000's range at 8,000 nautical miles. That figure is theoretical, calculated at Mach 0.85 with eight passengers, four crew and NBAA IFR reserves. Flying faster, with a full cabin or into headwinds, shortens it.
How fast is the Global 8000?
Bombardier lists the Global 8000's top speed at Mach 0.95, which it calls the fastest civil aircraft in service. Early reports gave Mach 0.94. Its typical cruise is Mach 0.85, and its high-speed cruise is Mach 0.90, per Bombardier's page.
Can a Global 7500 be upgraded to a Global 8000?
Bombardier is offering a service bulletin for it. Aviation International News reported in August 2025 that GE described the engine changes as software alterations, and Business Jet Traveler said the work takes about a week. No source we opened gives the price.
