The Gulfstream G650 is out of production, so there is no new price to quote today. The last reported factory list price was $70.5 million for the extended-range G650ER in 2021, according to Aviation Week, and used examples have sold for well below that: Aviation Week reported a 2018 G650ER offered at $52.5 million. This guide sets those figures next to the differences between the G650 and the G650ER, what a used one costs to run and how it compares with newer rivals.

Gulfstream G650 Price New

Reported List Price History

New-price figures conflict, and the conflict is itself useful to know. Aviation Week (Bill Carey, March 24, 2022) reported that the 2021 factory-new list price of a G650ER was $70.5 million, a figure it attributed to the Aircraft Bluebook. Corporate Jet Investor’s buyer’s guide to the G650ER shows both $70.5 million and $64.5 million for list price on the same page. Private Jet Card Comparisons carries a higher figure of $78 million for a new G650ER on its aircraft page, so quoted “new” prices run from the mid-$60 millions to $78 million depending on who you ask and which year. Our rule is simple: use the dated figure with its source, and treat anything else as a rough guide.

Every one of those numbers is a list price before options. Gulfstream did not publish a fixed price for a configured aircraft.

Why There Are No New G650s

Gulfstream announced on February 12, 2025, that the G650 and G650ER were out of production, per AIN. The final aircraft, a G650ER, rolled off the line in Savannah, Georgia, that month, and was flown to Appleton, Wisconsin for completion and delivery later in 2025. The program had run since the announcement in March 2008. FAA certification came on September 7, 2012, and the first delivery on December 27, 2012, according to the same report. The G650ER, with the longer range, followed in 2014.

AIN reports that the G800, which reuses the G650 fuselage, was expected to enter service in 2025. The newer flagship is the G700, and our Gulfstream G700 price guide covers it.

The G6 Nickname

“G6” is a common shorthand for the G650. Gulfstream’s own registry name for the type is GVI, which is how the FAA lists G650ERs such as N628TS. A “G6” listing can be a G650 or a G650ER, so confirm the exact model before you compare prices.

Used Gulfstream G650 Price

With no new aircraft available, the used market is the market. Aviation Week counted 475 G650s in service worldwide in March 2022, 166 G650s and 309 G650ERs, with nearly half operating in North America. Those aircraft are what trade.

What Moves the Price

Four things move a used G650’s value more than anything else:

  • Model. A G650ER, with 500 nm more range, normally commands more than a standard G650.
  • Year and hours. Later airframes with fewer hours trade at a premium.
  • Engine and maintenance programs. Enrollment in engine and parts programs transfers value to the next owner.
  • Cabin condition. Interiors are expensive to refresh, so a well-kept cabin carries weight.

Reported asking prices from the sources we opened vary widely. Aviation Week reported a 2018 G650ER offered by Gulfstream at $52.5 million. Corporate Jet Investor’s guide shows an average resale asking price of $35.6 million in one section and $55 million for pre-owned in another, so we treat both with caution.

Where Listings Live

Aircraft are listed on marketplaces such as Controller and in the JetNet database, and Gulfstream itself sells pre-owned aircraft, as the 2018 example shows. We do not print scraped asking prices here, because they are dated within days. If you are shopping, ask a broker for the last sold prices, not the asking prices, and a pre-purchase inspection from an independent shop.

G650 vs G650ER

The G650ER adds range, not a different cabin. Corporate Jet Investor states that the standard G650 has the same maximum speed and the same cabin dimensions as the G650ER, and that the ER variant adds 500 nm of range. Aviation Week puts the G650ER at 7,500 nm at Mach 0.85, and 6,400 nm at Mach 0.90. The G650ER was unveiled at EBACE in Geneva in May 2014 and received FAA certification that October.

Corporate Jet Investor reports the cabin at 47 ft long, 8.5 ft wide and 6.5 ft high, which is close to Aviation Week’s figures but not identical. We use Aviation Week’s dimensions. Corporate Jet Investor also gives a typical configuration of eight passengers and four crew. For the farthest-flying aircraft in general, see our list of longest range private jets.

Gulfstream G650 Charter Cost and Operating Costs

Hourly Charter Costs

Charter brokers quote G650 hourly rates, and they vary by route, season and operator. We could not find a dated rate from a neutral source in our research, so we do not print one. When you ask for quotes, ask for the all-in trip price including taxes, positioning and fees. Our private jet charter cost guide explains how a quote is built, and an empty leg can cut the price if your dates are flexible.

Annual Fixed Costs

An owner pays crew, hangar, insurance, training and scheduled maintenance whether the jet flies or not. We do not print figures for them here, because the sources we opened do not give them. Our guide to the cost of owning a private jet walks through the categories.

Inside the G650

Aviation Week reports a cabin 46 ft 10 in long, 8 ft 2 in wide and 6 ft 3 in high, seating up to 19 or sleeping up to 10, with a cabin altitude of 4,850 ft at the 51,000 ft ceiling. The layout is set by the owner, who chooses the zones, the galley and whether there is a private stateroom. That is why two G650s can feel like different aircraft. A full cabin tour is on our private jet interior guide.

Verdict: the G650ER still matches the newer jets on cabin width and height, but it gives up cabin length and some range to the newer jets.
