Bombardier does not publish a price list. Every figure for a new Global or Challenger comes from press reports, order announcements or broker databases, and it is a list price, not what a buyer pays after options and negotiation. The best-documented new prices are about $78 million for the Global 8000, about $75 million for the Global 7500 and about $27 million for the Challenger 3500.

Below, each model gets its reported price, what it can do, and whether you can still buy it new. Used prices move too fast to print as a table, so we explain how to read them instead.

Bombardier Price List at a Glance

All prices are list prices unless noted. Ranges are Bombardier’s own figures from bombardier.com, which it states under NBAA IFR reserves. Bombardier’s pages do not say which models are in production, so status reflects the sources cited.

The 2018 prices for the Global 5500 and 6500 come from AOPA’s August 2018 coverage of their launch and are almost certainly out of date. We found no published price for the Challenger 650.

The Global Family

The Global line is Bombardier’s large-cabin, long-range family. Bombardier lists four living spaces on its largest model, the Global 8000.

Global 8000

The Global 8000 has a stated range of 8,000 nm, a top speed of Mach 0.95 and room for up to 19 passengers, according to bombardier.com. Fox Business reported in May 2022 that Bombardier set the list price at $78 million, and Bombardier calls it the world’s fastest and longest-range purpose-built business jet.

Bombardier’s page describes a typical layout with four living spaces: a club suite, a conference suite, an entertainment suite and a principal suite with an en suite bath. Bombardier announced the Global 8000’s entry into service in December 2025, when Patrick Dovigi received the first aircraft, according to a Bombardier release published by AviationPros on December 10, 2025.

Price check: other sources give $81 million to $82 million for a new Global 8000, but we found those only on secondary sites, so we use the launch figure.

Global 7500

The Global 7500 is the long-running Global flagship that came before the 8000. GlobalAir’s specification page lists its list price at $75 million as of Q2 2025. Bombardier’s Global 7500 factsheet lists a range of 7,700 nm with NBAA IFR reserves and the same cabin dimensions as the Global 8000, which adds range and speed.

Used Global 7500s have changed hands for well under list in some years and above in others, so treat any printed used price as a snapshot.

Global 6500

The Global 6500 has a stated range of 6,600 nm, a top speed of Mach 0.90 and up to 17 passengers. Its cabin is 43 ft 3 in long from the cockpit divider to the aft cabin, excluding the baggage compartment, per bombardier.com. AOPA reported a price of $56 million when the model was introduced in 2018, so treat that as a launch figure, not today’s price.

Global 5500

The Global 5500 lists 5,900 nm of range, a top speed of Mach 0.90 and up to 16 passengers on bombardier.com. It is the smallest of the current Global family. AOPA reported a price of $46 million at its 2018 introduction, again a launch figure.

Older Global Express, XRS, 5000 and 6000

The Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000 and Global 6000 are no longer produced new. They matter for two reasons: they are the aircraft behind most “Bombardier Global” charter flights, and they are the cheapest way into a Global cabin on the used market. Prices vary with age, hours and engine programs, so check a named listing site for the month you are reading.

The Challenger Family

The Challenger line is the super-midsize and large-jet range, built for transcontinental flights.

Challenger 3500

The Challenger 3500 is the successor to the Challenger 350, not its predecessor. Bombardier’s page lists a range of 3,400 nm, a top speed of Mach 0.83 and up to 10 passengers. Aviation Week reported in January 2024 that a firm order for 12 Challenger 3500s was valued at $326.4 million at list prices, which works out to roughly $27.2 million each (our division, not a figure Bombardier printed).

Challenger 650

The Challenger 650 has a stated range of 4,000 nm and up to 12 passengers, according to bombardier.com, which describes more than 1,000 Challenger deliveries across the family. Bombardier’s page does not say whether the 650 is still being built, and we found no source saying production has ended. Jetcraft counted 158 built as of September 2024 with five more awaiting delivery.

Challenger 350 and 300

The Challenger 350 and its predecessor, the Challenger 300, are common on the used market and in charter fleets. Bombardier replaced the 350 with the 3500. If you want a super-midsize Bombardier for a lower price than a Challenger 3500, these are the usual shopping list. Compare them in our best mid-size private jets guide.

Challenger 850

The Challenger 850 is a Bombardier CRJ regional jet converted into a business jet. It is out of production, so every one is used. Older articles that list a new price for it are wrong.

Learjet: Used Only

Bombardier announced on February 11, 2021 that it would end Learjet production. AIN reported that the final aircraft, a Learjet 75, was delivered on March 28, 2022 to Northern Jet Management, marking the end of 60 years of Learjet production. The Learjet 75 Liberty was the last model.

Bombardier said it would keep supporting the existing fleet. Any Learjet you see for sale is used, and we do not give a price range without a named marketplace and a date.

What Bombardier Jets Cost to Run and to Charter

Hourly charter rates for Bombardier jets vary widely by operator, season and positioning. Paramount Business Jets lists an average of about $7,500 per hour for a Challenger 350 and about $14,000 per hour for a Global 6000, without a year on those pages. Treat them as examples, not quotes: fees, fuel and excise tax come on top.

For the Global Express XRS, charter pricing follows the same pattern as the Global 6000 because the two are in the same class. We could not confirm a separate XRS rate.

Owning is a different calculation. Annual crew, hangar, insurance and maintenance costs run on top of the purchase price. Our cost of owning a private jet page breaks those down by size class, and our private jet charter cost guide covers what chartering the same aircraft costs.

Is There a Global 9000?

No. As of November 2026 we found no Bombardier announcement of a Global 9000, in the official sources and press coverage we searched. The searches for “Global 9000 price” most likely refer to the Global 8000, which is the longest-range Global.

If you are comparing flagships, the longest range private jets page ranks the Global 8000 against its rivals, and the fastest private jets in the world page covers top speeds. For the main rival, see the Gulfstream G700 price.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Bombardier Global 8000 cost?
Fox Business reported a list price of $78 million when Bombardier launched the Global 8000 in May 2022. Some secondary sources print $81 million to $82 million. Bombardier does not publish prices, and final cost depends on the interior and options.
How much does a Global 7500 cost?
GlobalAir lists the Global 7500 at about $75 million as of the second quarter of 2025. A Bloomberg headline in December 2018 put the launch-era price at $73 million. Used examples sell for less, depending on age, hours and cabin condition.
How much is a Bombardier jet?
New Bombardier jets run from about $27 million for a Challenger 3500 to about $78 million for a Global 8000, based on reported list prices. Used Challengers and older Globals cost far less. Learjets are all used, since production ended in 2022.
How much does a Bombardier Global XRS charter for?
We could not confirm a published Global XRS rate. Paramount Business Jets lists about $14,000 per hour for the Global 6000, which is in the same class. Treat that as a rough guide and ask an operator for a trip quote.
Is the Global 8000 faster than the G700?
Yes, on paper. Bombardier lists a top speed of Mach 0.95 for the Global 8000, and Gulfstream lists a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935 for the G700. Both normally cruise well below those limits, and our fastest private jets page compares them with other models.
